Shoes

Shoes might be the last thing you think of drawing (literally), but that doesn’t mean they’re any less important. In fact, shoes can quickly inform the viewer of your character’s style of dress or their occupation, so it’s important to practice sketching them. Although shoes, like all clothes, come in a variety of styles, triangles will help you nail the basics of most of them—so definitely pay attention to them!

FROM THE FRONT

When drawing shoes from the front, you’ll want to keep in mind that the object will appear “squashed” due to foreshortening.
